Privacy Policy

The short version: Google Analytics 4 runs only if you accept analytics in the consent prompt. We do not use analytics for advertising or remarketing. Contact and careers forms load Cloudflare Turnstile for abuse prevention, as described below. We receive personal data when you choose to send it through a form.

Who we are

Orink Technology is a remote-first digital studio founded by Smrutiranjan Pradhan and Rinkey Dutta. We build web products, AI tooling and automation for clients, and we publish Orink Insights as our editorial publication. We are based in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India,India, and work with clients internationally.

This policy applies to orinktechnology.tech and its subpages, including Orink Insights at /blog. For any privacy question, contact us at orinktechnology@gmail.com.

What we collect

We only collect personal data that you actively send to us:

• Contact form — your name, email address, phone number, selected service and message.
• Careers form — currently unavailable; we are not collecting application submissions through this site.
• Server logs — our hosting provider records standard technical data such as IP address, user agent and requested URL, in order to serve the site and investigate errors. This is operational logging, not profiling.
• Optional analytics — if you accept analytics, Google Analytics 4 receives page-view events for public website pages. These events contain the page path without query strings, and do not include form contents or form submissions. Google may also process technical and browser information and use cookies or similar identifiers to measure usage.
• Form security — Cloudflare Turnstile runs on the contact form to screen automated submissions. It processes technical and browser signals needed for that check. Cloudflare states that Turnstile does not access, store or transmit form entries; see its Turnstile privacy addendum.

Please do not include sensitive information — health details, government identifiers, financial account numbers or similar — in a message. We do not need it and cannot use it safely.

Cookies, local storage and advertising

Google Analytics 4 is loaded only after you choose “Accept analytics.” Choosing “Essential only” prevents the Analytics script from loading. Analytics measures visits to public pages using page paths and may use Google’s analytics cookies or similar identifiers. We send no query strings, form contents, form submissions, passwords or authentication tokens to Analytics. Google’s description of its analytics cookies is available in its cookie information.

The contact form separately loads Cloudflare Turnstile for abuse prevention. It may process technical and browser signals for that security purpose; we do not use it for advertising or cross-site profiling. We do not enable Google advertising or remarketing features.

The article search on Orink Insights runs entirely on our own server. No search query, and no index of our articles, is ever sent to a third party.

Contact submissions are sent from our server to our Google Apps Script web app, which writes the contact fields to a Google Sheet so we can respond. The contact form does not send submissions through Resend or save them in the Payload/Neon editorial database. We do not log message bodies. If form protection or the Sheets workflow is unavailable, the form returns an error and does not report the submission as sent. Careers applications are currently unavailable.

How we use your data

• To respond to your enquiry or application.
• To operate, secure and debug the website.
• To comply with our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Service providers

A small number of third parties process data on our behalf, strictly to deliver the service you asked for:

• Website hosting — stores and serves the site content.
• Google Apps Script and Google Sheets — receive contact fields from our server and store them in a spreadsheet for follow-up.
• Google Analytics — processes public-page usage data only when you consent to analytics.
• Cloudflare Turnstile — checks form tokens and browser signals to reduce automated submissions. The server sends the token to Cloudflare for verification, not the form fields.
• Content management and database hosting — the access-controlled backend our authors use to write articles and manage editorial accounts. Public form submissions are not sent to that database.

Not yet published: The website hosting provider, the processing countries for each provider and any applicable transfer mechanisms have not yet been documented here.

How long we keep it

Contact rows remain in the Google Sheet until Orink deletes them. A fixed retention period has not been documented. Contact submissions are not stored in the Payload/Neon editorial database. Hosting and security logs are subject to the hosting provider’s retention settings.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to our processing of it, to portability of that data, and to complain to a supervisory authority.

Children

This site is a professional publication and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page whenever our practices change. The date at the top always reflects the most recent revision, and any material change will be called out on the page.
